Insourcing

P&J's success in tomato production hinges on securing contracts with large landowners for year-round supply. They prioritize seed selection, ensuring high-quality yields through expert consultation. Their nurseries employ advanced technology to produce healthy plantlets adaptable to different conditions. P&J's expansion includes establishing their own state-of-the-art nurseries.

Machinery

Planting is precise and efficient with Italian mechanical planters, ensuring optimal plant growth. Mechanized harvesting reduces labor risks and costs, with MTS harvesters processing 10 acres per day. Transportation utilizes Metal/Fiber Glass containers, capable of carrying up to 40 tons per trip from farms to P&J's plants in Sadat city.

Pesticides

“P&J is diligently aligning with the requirements of the EU Food Safety Authority, we have successfully achieved fresh tomatoes and final tomato paste products with Alternaria toxin levels that meet the EU's recommended standards. This has been accomplished by maintaining a Complete Track Record (CTR) of analysis for fresh tomatoes both in the field and at the factory gate after transportation, as well as for the final tomato paste after processing.”

Traceability

P&J's Farm Traceability System ensures quality and supply chain management for tomato farming, meeting consumer demands for food safety. Despite challenges, our system empowers farmers, unlocking opportunities in emerging markets. By incorporating our traceability solution, businesses commit to sustainability and compliance with global standards, fostering a safer, healthier, and more transparent agriculture industry.
